May

Back Next

May was a very quiet month for us.  There is not much to do when it rains every weekend.

The last weekend we went to Portland, ME for the District Convention.

(This was during the noon break.)

June

June is a big anniversary month for our families.  Kevin and I celebrated our 13th.  My mom and dad, Kevin's mom and dad and Kevin's aunt Marie and uncle Peter also had anniversaries.  Happy Anniversary everyone!

On June 6th, Indy and I went on her class field trip to the Festival of Cultures in Deerfield, NH.  Dancers from Polynesia taught us how to Hula dance.  We were able to get up close and personal with animals from Australia.  Decedents of the Native Americas and Aztecs preformed songs and dances of their people.

Aztec dancers with Olivia, Katie, Shannon and Indy.  His headdress was taller than me!

The kids and I went to North Carolina for a week to visit grandma and grandpa (Reckard).  The kids had a great time in the pool.  The weather was good enough for them to go in everyday.  On the Friday of our trip we went to the Hickory Arts and Science Museum.  We were all very excited when it turned out to be 'free day'.  The kids learn about the science of their bodies, climbed a rock wall and experienced an earthquake.  April, Jana and David come down for the weekend.  It was great to be able to spend sometime with them.  The kids had such a good time with Uncle David that he became King David by the end of the weekend.
