We are having a great summer so far.  In the beginning of the month we went to the White Mountains for three days.  We were able to fit a weeks worth of vacation into three days.   We started our trip on Tuesday with the Conway Scenic Train to Bartlett and a hike to Diana's Bath.  Wednesday's weather forecast was for rain but we went to Story Land anyway.  As you will see from the photos, we didn't get rained on until the end to the day.  It was a great day to go because we didn't have to stand in any lines.  On Thursday, we had a beautiful day for our first drive up the Mt. Washington Auto Road.  We have the bumper sticker to prove it (it's not on the car).   We finished up the three days with a stop at Lost River Gorge on the way home.  See what I mean about a weeks worth of vacation in three days.  If anyone is looking for a nice and relatively inexpensive place to stay, we really liked the Green Granite Inn.  Here are some of the pictures we took.  If you would like to see the rest check out our on photo album at Yahoo.

The last day of Kevin's vacation week we took the kids to the Children's Museum in Portsmouth.

Our summer wouldn't be complete without at least one rafting trip.  On Saturday the 23rd, we went with the Dushaneks, the Cables, and the Bauers.  The water level was a little low but we were still able to do two full runs.  We all had a great time and got a good work out.  We are hoping to go again soon.

It has been a very busy month.  On top of all the trips we have made, the kids are also taking swimming and tennis lessons.  I am hoping that August will be a little more relaxing.
