| We have lived in New Hampshire on and off for 9 years
and we had never been to Lake
Winnipesaukee. We spent a day in Weirs Beach and took a tour of the lake
on the M.S. Mount Washington.
We picked a great day for the cruise. The boat was pretty empty,
so we had the whole place to ourselves.

Indy and Chase had their first sleep over. Indy invited Jayna Dushanek and Zariah Marquis. Chase had Evan Naone and Jared Forbes come over. They all stayed up late and watched Herbie the Love Bug (the original movie). The next day we went bowling and out to lunch.

Nashua had a Family Fun day in Greeley Park. There was face painting, free games, ice cream samples, shows and more. The Nashua Fire Department set up a Fire Safety House. Fireman talked about fire safety in the kitchen, living room and bedroom. Then they let the kids practice escaping out the window.

We finished August with a hike. We packed a lunch and climbed up Mount Uncanoonuc in Goffstown. It was hot day and the climb was steep but we enjoyed the views of Goffstown and Manchester from the top.

There are two Uncanoonuc Mountains. We hiked up the North mountain. Uncanoonuc South was once a popular place to ski. Skiers rode the train up and skied down. There was also a hotel until 1930 when it burned to the ground.
